Tim Kerr

Peter (Tim) Kerr has extensive skills and experience gained during a long public finance career, together with knowledge of state government structures and laws and familiarity with the key decision-makers and staff in state service.

From 2004 to 2007 Tim was an investment banker with UBS Investment Bank working on a variety of bond transactions in the Northwest. Prior to that time he was a financial consultant. In that role he worked for the University of Washington, the Tobacco Settlement Authority (TSA), and Puget Sound Health Centers. He also served as President of Northwest Capital Funding, a non-profit corporation whose mission was to facilitate public/private financing partnerships.

From 1976 through 1999 Tim worked in the State Treasurer’s Office where he served as State Finance Officer, Administrator of the State Bond Program, and Deputy State Treasurer for Debt Management; among other duties. He also served as the Treasurer’s designee on the Housing Finance Commission and other bond issuing boards during this period.

Tim began his state career in 1973 with the House Ways and Means Committee as a budget and research analyst.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Master’s Degrees from the University of Washington in both business (MBA) and public administration (MPA).
